Pastor Lance Langenberg became our lead pastor in 2020. Together with his wife of 10 years, Sarah, Pastor Lance has three spunky boys who are excited to be part of the pastoral team at Rolla First Assembly. If you are looking to get connected with the body of Christ here at First Assembly, he is the guy to find!

Pastor Lance’s grew up a regular churchgoer and his parents emphasized the importance and benefits of being a part of a church family. He was taught the importance of service, tithing, and being involved in every aspect of church life and grew up understanding what it meant to love and appreciate church.

Pastor Lance knows that God brought him to the ministry through the winding process of personal growth. He was in the Army reserves for eight years, becoming a sergeant combat medic and eye specialist before beginning to seriously seek God’s purpose for his life. By being intentional about developing his relationship with the Lord, Pastor Lance recognized that God had equipped him with valuable skills for ministry. He attended Evangel University, graduating with a BS in church ministries, and later earned an MA in leadership in ministry from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Before joining the staff at First Assembly, he was the campus pastor at LifeStream Church in Union, Missouri. He also currently serves as our sectional men’s ministry representative.

Pastor Lance loves to meet new people. He is usually in the gym or the foyer chatting, so feel free to introduce yourself or challenge him to a game of foosball or basketball!
